This episode marked the first episode of the allaboutcookery cookin show. Everyone at the team was very excited for our audience and the public to finally see the product of the work we had all produced. For the first week our chosen dish to cook was: vegan ramen.
You can find her Marta on Instagram @_veganjunkie_ she produces great vegan dishes that look amazing!
We chose this dish as we believed, alongside our partners at All About Cookery, it was a tasty and relatively easy to make a dish that would ideally suit our target audience of students. You can see how this turned out on our YouTube channel! This episode's guest was great at helping our host cook this dish as her focus is vegan food.
The recipe is:
2 garlic cloves,
1.5 tablespoon of white miso paste,
2 tablespoons of soy sauce,
1 tablespoon of cornflower,
100g of ramen noodles,
1l vegan stock, 200g of tofu,
1 tablespoon of sunflower oil,
2 spring onions,
1 carrot. ”
In this episode, our approach was very light-hearted and comical to appeal to our target audience of students as we felt this style of production would complement their watching interests the most and keep them the most engaged with our media. However, we also strived to show our adaptability in our production skills. On our website, you can find several promotional videos we have created for clients therefore, this was our first time producing a more light-hearted show that was aimed at a younger audience. This isn't to say some things didn't go according to plan. For example, our host's fire alarm went off mid-recording.
Everyone at XPG Media are really enjoying the challenge
During this time, we are taking the time to experiment with our production skills, and for the next episode of the show, we are planning to produce a slower-paced step by step guide on cooking the food to continue to challenge ourselves with different methods and approaches to both production and editing. We hope you enjoyed the first episode of our series and hope you continue to tune in as the coming episodes are gre
